The Jamz Tournament History

In 2018, the concept of "The Jamz Tournament" began. After a year of planning, the first event began on September 22, 2019. The focus was hinged on several main components: team play, fair averages, organization, very unique and big paying side action, and LOTS OF FUN AND ENERGY! Team play is the backbone of bowling, and I really enjoy the camaraderie of team play in bowling. Fair averages...well...it's hard to achieve, but I strive for legitimacy and re-rate appropriately. Unique side action? Just come bowl, and you will see...bigger than anything you may ever see! And the "Jamz" vibe? Again, just come bowl...you will see!
At the first tournament, 49 teams entered at AMF Sky Bowl. And I was extremely happy with that turnout. One year later, the event jumped up to 122 teams. With that growth, I decided to start running Jamz twice a year. In that same year, the first of its kind in the country, the "One Night Only Jamz" event debuted which featured a mega money tournament on one squad, a catered dining buffet, one of a kind Bonus Game, unheard of side action, and more. And in 2022, I was asked to take over what is now called the "Sun Coast Senior Jamz Tournament."
Currently, I run 5 events a year. Here's a look at the 3 main events each year since the beginning:

March 2021: 224 Teams on 8 squads
September 2021: 346 Teams on 11 squads
March 2022, 2 Weekends: 446 Teams on 14 squads
July & August 2022, Sun Coast Senior Jamz Tournament: 149 Teams, 271 Doubles, 542 Singles on 8 Squads
August & September 2022, Labor Day Event, 2 Weekends: 542 Teams on 17 squads
February & March 2023, 3 Weekends: 623 Teams on 21 squads
July & August 2023, Sun Coast Senior Jamz Tournament: 137 Teams, 265 Doubles, 530 Singles on 8 Squads
August & September 2023, Labor Day Event, 2 Weekends: 538 Teams on 17 squads
February & March 2024, 3 Weekends: 633 Teams on 21 squads
July & August 2024: Sun Coast Senior Jamz Tournament: 183 Teams, 336 Doubles, 672 Singles on 10 Squads
August & September 2024, Labor Day Event, 2 Weekends: 560 Teams on 16 squads
February & March 2025, 3 Weekends: 622 Teams on 21 squads
July & August 2025: Sun Coast Senior Jamz Tournament: 204 Teams, 341 Doubles, 682 Singles
August & September 2025, Labor Day Event, 2 Weekends: 544 Teams on 16 squads
February & March 2026, 3 Weekends: 645 Teams on 21 squads
July & August 2026: Sun Coast Senior Jamz Tournament: 240 Teams, 389 Doubles, 778 Singles
NEXT TOURNAMENT: Get ready for an EXPANDED event in August and September, as The Jamz Tournament just opened entries on June 10, 2026, for the major Labor Day Weekend event! And it's already at 629 teams! That sets a record for this event. Thank you all for your support.
This tournament will be contested across TWO huge weekends: August 28-30, 2026, and September 4-7, 2026, Labor Day Weekend. On the first weekend, squads are as follows: Friday, 8pm. Saturday, 12pm, 4pm, and 8pm. Sunday, 12pm and 4pm. On the second weekend, squads are as follows: NEW!! --- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 12pm, 4pm, and 8pm. And Monday, Labor Day, 12pm and 4pm. That's right, I am adding squads on the second Friday to run all day long.

This process started 3 years ago, and it has severely cut down on the number of returned spots, so THANKS!
